Chris Ryman, 69, of Wappapello, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 at Oakdale Skilled Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff. Chris, the daughter of the late Orval Bryce and Mildred Elizabeth Warthen Patterson, was born Feb. 20, 1950 in Essex, Mo. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. Chris Ryman, 69, of Wappapello, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 at Oakdale Skilled Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff.

Chris, the daughter of the late Orval Bryce and Mildred Elizabeth Warthen Patterson, was born Feb. 20, 1950 in Essex, Mo. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. For many years, Chris worked as a transcriptionist at Dexter Hospital. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and reading.

She married Glenn L. Ryman on Jan. 24, 1986, in Essex. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, William Thomas Pearce, III of Wappapello and Anthony Logan (Janie) Pearce of Essex; a stepdaughter, Sally Ann Ryman of Yadkinville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Brittany Evans of Malden, Joshua (Madison) Pearce of Puxico, Benjamin Pearce, Noah Pearce and Sophie Jane Pearce of Puxico; four brothers, Larry (Jan) Patterson and Wayne Patterson of Dexter, Roger (Mary) Patterson of Sikeston and Ronald Patterson of Branson; two sisters, Colleen (Bill) Unger of Sikeston and Carolyn Dzvonar of Dexter and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A brother Robert Patterson also preceded her in death.

In accordance to Chris’s wishes, she will be cremated. No other services are planned.
