Brenda Mondy of the 400 block of County Road 569 reported her home was forcibly entered between 2 and 7 p.m. Oct. 24.
According to the report, several pieces of jewelry and a jar filled with coins were stolen.

Michelle Allbritton of the 100 block of Avery Lane reported at about 5:45 p.m. Oct. 24 that her residence was forcibly entered and a jewelry box and its contents were stolen.

Dakota Wayne Davis of Poplar Bluff reported at about 5 p.m. Oct. 24 that his storage unit at Shank’s Mini Storage in the 2600 block of Crestwood Drive had been entered.
According to the report, a Savage .30-06 rifle; bag containing autographed baseball cards and photographs; about 100 DVD and Blu-ray discs; a bow; laptop; hedge trimmer; TV; fishing rod; tackle box, ratchet wrenches; photographs and other personal documents were stolen.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT
Karen Denise Duke, 42, of the 900 block of West Harper Street was arrested at 5:52 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the intersection of Harper and Ida streets on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. She was booked and released on a criminal summons.

John Soto Ruiz, 34, no address listed, was arrested at 4:55 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, in the 400 block of North G Street on a Butler County warrant for tampering with a motor vehicle. He was booked at the Butler County jail.

Three area residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 3:25 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the intersection of Pine and Sycamore streets.
According to the report, Karen Elizabeth Hosentfeld, 65, of Ellsinore was operating a 1998 Toyota Corolla eastbound on Pine Street.
At the same time, Alvin Leroy Gulledge Jr., 58, of the 1000 block of County Road 535 was operating a 2006 Jeep Liberty westbound.
Hosentfeld reportedly was attempting to make a left turn into a parking lot and allegedly failed to yield right of way. Her car allegedly was struck by Gulledge’s SUV.
A witness reported seeing Hosentfeld’s car allegedly come from the opposite lane of traffic and turn in front of Gulledge’s SUV.
Gulledge told officers there was a truck making a left onto Sycamore, and as he passed the truck, Hosentfeld allegedly pulled out in front of him.
Both drivers, as well as Gulledge’s passenger, Braden Cates, 11, of the 1000 block of County Road 535, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
