NEELYVILLE — Donald Leon Franklin, 77, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Oct. 21, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Franklin was born on Sept. 8, 1942 in St. Louis to the late Lonial L. Franklin and Mildred Loree Franklin. He had worked as an auto mechanic and was the owner and operator of Franklin Garage in Neelyville. Donald enjoyed deer hunting, watching T.V., mowing the yard and was involved with AA.
On Nov. 24, 1959, Donald married Mary Jo Turner in Harviell. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Natalie J. Tate and husband, Randy of Paducah, Ky., Jeanene L. Hover of Paducah, Ky., LaDonna Jo Campbell of Paducah, Ky., James L. Franklin of Neelyville.; one sister, Debbie Wells of Poplar Bluff; two grandsons, Stephen Tate and Bradley Hover; three granddaughters, Jenna Rickman, Sara Tate Bowerman and Andrea Middleton; five great-grandsons, Ethan Rickman, Justin Tate, Jackson Rickman, Colton Hover and the fifth great-grandson soon to be here; as well as two great-granddaughters, Karalyn Tate and Hattie Sue Hover.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The funeral will immediately follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in the Neelyville Cemetery.
