Three area residents were injured in a four-vehicle crash at 4:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, on U.S. 60, one mile east of Dexter.

According to the report, Lawrence Thomason, 60, of Winona was operating a 2000 Kenworth eastbound when it struck the rear of a 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche being operated by Charles W. Fann, 64, of East Prairie.

Fann’s vehicle then allegedly struck the rear of a 2007 Pontiac G6 being operated by Dawn M. Carlson, 49, of Dexter.

Carlson’s car then allegedly struck the rear of a 1998 Mitsubishi being operated by Danny D. Hayes, 53, of Dexter.

Fann and Hayes suffered minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County at Dexter for treatment.

Carlson suffered moderate injuries and also was taken to the Dexter hospital for treatment.

A 74-year-old Campbell man was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 6:50 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, on Highway H, three miles north of Campbell.

According to the report, Larry M. Robbins was operating a 1997 Nissan truck northbound when it ran off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole.

Robbins suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Thomas E. Allen, 69, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 10:24 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was booked at the Butler County jail and later released.

Bobby Brooks reported the Independence Baptist Church in the 1900 block of Highway 142 at Neelyville was entered between Wednesday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 19.

According to the report, miscellaneous food and drinks items, compound bow, about 25 practice arrows and an unknown amount of archery gloves and wrist guards were taken.

Brooks also reported his office was rummaged through, including the file cabinets.

Carolyn Ann Reed of Qulin reported Monday, Oct. 21, that a push weed trimmer was stolen from her residence in the 17600 block of Highway 51.

A 6-year-old Poplar Bluff boy was treated and released from Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center after he was bitten by a dog.

According to the report, Natasha Mason told the deputy her son, Jaxon Eugene Childress, was playing tag with another child outside a residence in the 1600 block of Highway B.

While playing a dog reportedly became aggressive and attacked the child, biting him behind his right ear.

Jaxon reportedly suffered a small laceration.

Tricia Owens reported Saturday, Oct. 19, that a dryer top was missing from the laundry room at the Westwood Manor in the 3300 block of South Westwood Boulevard.

According to the report, two coin boxes were broken open and the coins stolen.

POPLAR BLUFF POLICE DEPARTMENT

Angela Eskridge, 47, of the 1600 block of Seifert Drive was arrested at 5:56 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at the Walmart Supercenter on suspicion of stealing and two counts of possession of a controlled substance and six municipal failure to appear warrants for traffic offenses. She was booked at the Butler County jail.

Charles E. Kendle of the 2300 block of Wood Street reported his 2015 Dodge Journey was entered between 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, and 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21.

According to the report, about 50 DVDs were stolen.
