Lottie Bernice Tanksley

BERNIE, Mo. — Lottie Bernice Tanksley, 90, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Oct. 10, 2019 at her home in Poplar Bluff.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1928 to Robert and Lula G. Watson in Bernie. She married Benjamin Tanksley Sr. on June 14, 1947. He preceded her in death Jan. 31, 1982.

Lottie enjoyed working crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, watching Cardinals baseball, watching wrestling and watching westerns.

She is survived by daughter, Stella Tanksley; daughter, Joyce Granger; son, Benjamin “Sonny” Tanksley Jr.(Angela); 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Lottie was preceded in death by husband, Benjamin Tanksley Sr.; her parents; a daughter, Benita Bernice Wilson; all her siblings and three sons-in-law.

Graveside funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 in the Bernie Cemetery with Rev. Shelvie Stephens officiating.
