Daisy Lee Shelton, 81, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019 at her granddaughter’s residence in Troy, Mo. She was born on April 2, 1938 in Gibson, Mo. to Omar Belt and Ester Roland Belt. She was united in marriage to Dale Kenneth Shelton on Dec. 3, 1956 and he preceded her in death...

Daisy Lee Shelton, 81, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019 at her granddaughter’s residence in Troy, Mo. She was born on April 2, 1938 in Gibson, Mo. to Omar Belt and Ester Roland Belt. She was united in marriage to Dale Kenneth Shelton on Dec. 3, 1956 and he preceded her in death.

Daisy was a homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles and watching old western movies. She was an animal lover. Her witty personality will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her three daughters, Donna Baker of Sacramento, Calif., Dalea Doherty and husband, William of O’Fallon, Mo. and Darla Shelton of Poplar Bluff; two brothers, Leonard Belt of Poplar Bluff and Charles Belt; five grandchildren, Holly Wroblicky of Sacramento, Calif., Erin Doherty of Troy, Mo. and Amanda Ray of Poplar Bluff; great-grandsons, Brendan Lewis and Gabriel Wroblicky.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Belt; her mother, Ester Hicks; husband, Dale Shelton and one brother, Truman Belt.
