MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
An 18-year-old Dexter resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 1:55 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, on County Road 607, five miles south of Dexter.
According to the report, Harley C. Smith was operating a 1998 Dodge pickup southbound when it ran off the road and struck a tree.
Smith suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment.
Smith was arrested at 2:42 a.m. on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving. She was released.

A 33-year-old Jackson man was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, on Highway D, eight miles north of Jackson.
According to the report, Bobby J. Langston was operating a 2017 Ford pickup southbound when it ran off the road, struck a tree and overturned.
Langston, who was ejected, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:58 p.m. by Cape Girardeau County Coroner Dennis Turner.
Langston is the 40th fatality in Troop E this year.
