Terrill L. Griffin

NEELYVILLE — Terrill L. Griffin, 69, of Naylor, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born on Nov. 13, 1949 to the late Warren and Veda Thompson Griffin in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Mr. Griffin was a lifelong resident of Ripley County and was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He worked in maintenance at the Naylor School District and was a bus driver there for 38 years.

Mr. Griffin enjoyed camping, wood working, gardening and family time. Mr. Griffin was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Corning, Ark.

On Dec. 8, 1970 he married Wanda Walker in Jackson, Miss. She survives.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife; two sons, Shon Griffin of Naylor, Joey Griffin and wife, Crystal of Doniphan; sister, Lillian Braschler of Doniphan; brother, Aubrey Griffin of Tampa, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Sue Thomas and Judy Sargent.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amy Lynn Griffin; sisters, Delores Dehollander, Lillie Mae Barnes, Juanita Merrill and Fern Teachout; brother, Warren (Jonny) Griffin.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27 at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 in the funeral home with Rev. James Keel officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery.
