MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL
A 17-year-old Winona resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:03 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, on U.S. 60, one and one-half miles east of Fremont.
According to the report, Landen A. Haynes was operating a 2002 Chevrolet pickup eastbound when it hydroplaned, and he lost control of the truck. Haynes’ truck reportedly ran off the road and overturned.
Haynes suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

A 25-year-old Silva man was injured in a motorcycle crash at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, on County Road 208, two and one-half miles east of Fredericktown.
According to the report, Danny L. Parson was operating a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle westbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Parson suffered serious injuries and was flown to St. John’s Mercy in St. Louis for treatment.

Kenneth Harold Betz, 44, of the 1600 block of Barron Road was arrested at 9:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Academy Sports + Outdoors on Oak Grove Road on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and stealing.
He was booked at the Butler County jail, where he also was being held on two failure to appear warrants for no proof of insurance and violation of an ex-parte order.

Randy Tuggle reported at about 3:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, that two external air conditioner units at the Westwood Center, owned by Three Rivers College, in the 2400 block of North Westwood Boulevard had been damaged.
According to the report, the units’ condenser coils had been stolen.

Tabitha Dawn Daniel of the 800 block of Vine Street reported Friday, Aug. 16, that her residence had been forcibly entered and ransacked.
According to the report, four pairs of waders, wander pants, two trail camera, muck boots, ammunition, two duck decoys, hunting gear, knife, clothing, checkbook, push mower, bicycle, game cart and magic playing cards had been stolen.

A Poplar Bluff woman taken to an area hospital after being involved a one-vehicle crash at 3:01 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, in the 2000 block of Woodhaven.
According to the report, Joshua P. Johnson, 39, of Poplar Bluff was operating a 2016 Kia Optima, which was stopped on private property. The vehicle reportedly accelerated and struck a retaining wall on the property.
Johnson and his 38-year-old passenger, Cynthia R. Johnson, were found unresponsive upon initial contact. Officers determined that was due to an open gasoline container inside the vehicle.
The Johnsons reportedly were not physically hurt, but Cynthia Johnson was taken by ambulance to a hospital due to complaints of dizziness.
