Garden club names August yard, beautification winners

The Poplar Bluff Garden Club has named the winners of the August Yard of the Month and Community Beautification awards, according to a press release.

The garden club is a member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri and National Garden Clubs, Inc.

It is the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world with over 6000 Clubs and 190,000 + members in 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The garden club provides education, resources and national networking opportunities for its members to promote the love of gardening, floral design, civic and environmental responsibility.

Weather permitting the Poplar Bluff group gives two awards monthly as part of their community service.
