Educator Karmen Carson of Poplar Bluff R-I School District attended the Missouri State Teacher’s Association Leadership Conference at Margaritaville Lake Resort (formerly Tan-Tar-A) at Osage Beach July 22-23.

Approximately 450 members participated in the two-day training, according to a press release.

MSTA’s Leadership Conference brings current and future leaders together in a fun and relaxing environment to network with MSTA staff and other leaders across the state.

“The MSTA’s annual Leadership Conference is always a great way to kick off the new school year. Our teacher-leaders are able to spend time learning and networking, which in turn enhances the work they do for Missouri’s students and educators. Education in Missouri is stronger because these dedicated professionals gave up a few days to learn and grow as leaders,” said Bruce Moe, MSTA executive director.

MSTA is the largest education organization in the state, with more than 47,000 members and over 160 years of service to Missouri educators.
