City firefighters responded at 5:45 p.m. Monday, July 29, to a motor-vehicle crash at the intersection of Arthur and Cross streets.
According to the report, firefighters provided basic first aid to a bicyclist who had flipped over her handlebars and hit her head after hitting a vehicle she was following.

City firefighters responded at 5:26 p.m. Monday, July 29, to a motor-vehicle crash at the intersection of Kanell Boulevard and Sterling Drive.
According to the report, firefighters assisted emergency-medical-services personnel with a patient.
Firefighters also used five gallons of water and Hydrobreak to removed a small amount of antifreeze from the road.

City firefighters responded at 4:22 a.m. Monday, July 29, to a report of a structure fire at the intersection of Sixth and Kinzer streets.
According to the report, firefighters found a large two-story, wood frame house on fully involved at 608 Kinzer St. Two adjacent structures were in close proximity to the structure.
Firefighters began putting out the fire, as well as used water to protect the adjacent structures.
Additional off-duty firefighters were called back to assist.
The siding melted and windows cracked on the 606 Kinzer St. residence owned by Valerie Dortch.
Firefighters used 20,000 gallons of water to put out the fire. The home was destroyed.
Street department employees were called to bring a trackhoe to help firefighters at the scene.
Also contacted were members of Municipal Utilities, the gas company and building inspector.

According to the report, a 1984 Ford pickup, owned by William Gill, was destroyed.
