POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Teddy K. Evans, 67, went to be with the Lord July 24, 2019, at his home near Poplar Bluff.

Teddy was born July 25, 1951, to Woodrow and Mildred Evans of Poplar Bluff. He married Cynthia (Smith) on August 14, 1972.

He was a graduate of Poplar Bluff Senior High School, after which he served in the National Guard for seven years. He was employed by Missouri Department of Conservation for 30 years. After retirement, Ted’s love of the outdoors and farming filled his days. Fishing and hunting were also hobby pleasures, as well as grill chef for entertaining. His love of the Lord resulted in his participation as deacon for First Baptist Church of Poplar Bluff, as well as other serving roles. He was youth Sunday School teacher, Search Committee for the youth minister, usher, mission trips, and constructed sets for outreach programs. Ted was the cornerstone in the neighborhood. If help was needed, had something to be fixed, or need to know how to, he was the one to contact.
