Lori Susan Garner

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Lori Susan Garner, 54, of Poplar Bluff, entered Heaven’s gate on July 23, 2019 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. with her beloved family surrounding her.

Lori was born on January 19, 1965 to Bob and Sharon Perry in Perryville, Mo. She married Darrin Garner on June 8, 1985, in Poplar Bluff. He survives.

Lori was a strong Christian and attended West Side Church of God. She was employed for the Poplar Bluff Public School System in Special Education Administration for over 18 years. Lori’s most treasured activity was attending the grandchildren’s sporting events and just being Grammy.

Lori is survived by spouse, Darrin Garner; daughter, Chelsea Nelson (Eric); son, Brian Garner (Kaci); granddaughter, Camryn Nelson (Cami); grandsons, Cooper Blake Nelson, Waylon Garner; mother, Sharon Perry; sister, Tami Perry; brother, Jim Perry (Traci); special family friend, Cindy Tanner; nieces, Katie Gober (Austin) and Taylor Perry.

Lori was preceded in death by her father, Bob Perry.

Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Friday, July 26 at First Baptist Church, 515 North Westwood Blvd. Poplar Bluff.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Black Creek Cemetery.
