GREENVILLE — A Williamsville man charged with the murder of a woman missing since February 2017 was in court Monday morning for a bond review and arraignment.

The bond for Craig Allen Wood, 43, is $500,000 cash only, said Wayne County Sheriff Dean Finch. Wood is charged in Wayne County with the Class A felonies of first-degree murder and first-degree assault for attempted physical injury in connection with the disappearance of Rebecca “Becky” Alsup.

The case is still under investigation and, Finch said, he has a couple of interviews today.

“More arrests are possible,” he said, adding the case will not be done “until she is at peace.”

“He’s been a suspect from day one,” Finch said. “It was just a matter of putting it all together.”

The 29-month investigation involved Wayne County authorities and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Finch said anyone who has information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 573-224-3219 or the tipline at 833-865-5558. All information will be kept confidential, Finch said.
