Lillie 'Midge' Edgar

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Lillie Mae Edgar ‘Midge’, 81, of Poplar Bluff passed away on July 16, 2019 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.

Midge was born on December 24, 1937 to Thomas and Nora (Henderson) Tipton in Parma, Mo. She was married to Lester Cooley until he preceded her in death in 1972. Later she married James Edgar and he preceded her in 2008.

Midge enjoyed sewing, fishing, hunting and bowling. She was a member of the Palace of Praise in Poplar Bluff.

She is survived by sisters, Mary Pind and Gwen McGarrity; brothers, Moses and Jerry Tipton and a host of nieces and nephews.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, sisters; Opal Tipton, and Shirley Cooley, brothers; Check, Charles, Ellis, and Arnold Tipton.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 19 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20 in the Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home with Pastor James Tipton and Bishop Kent Miller officiating. Burial will take place in Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Mo.
