POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Edna Mae Prince, age 92, passed away on June 28, 2019 at Oakdale Care Facility in Poplar Bluff. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with Rev. Byron Beck officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Edna Mae Prince, age 92, passed away on June 28, 2019 at Oakdale Care Facility in Poplar Bluff.

Edna Mae was born on December 27, 1926 and was a longtime Poplar Bluff resident. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church.

She had worked at International Shoe Company and later Sears Roebuck and retired from there in 1989, volunteered at the VA Hospital and worked at Lucy Lee Hospital as a telephone operator and retired from there. Edna Mae enjoyed family, sewing, crocheting, quilting, gardening and working with her hands.

On November 24, 1945, Edna Mae was united in marriage to Willie H. Prince. They were married 44 years. Willie preceded her in death on March 13, 1989.

She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Ann Holden of Fisk, Mo.; two sons, Randy Prince of Henderson, Nevada, and Gary Prince and wife, Deniece of Belton, Texas; one sister, Betty Scott and Ronald of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; six grandchildren, Lea Ann and Scotty White of Poplar Bluff, Jimmy and Pam Holden of Puxico, Mo., Amanda and James Holt of St. Peters Mo., Dr. Whitney Prince and husband, Justin Sorrells of Belton, Texas, Andrew and Tyler Prince of Henderson, Nevada; eight great-grandchildren, Lydia, Kyle, Noah and Liam Holden, Emma and Elliott Holt, Everett and Elyse Sorrells and one stepgreat-granddaughter Hannah White.

Edna Mae was preceded in death by her parents, William and Octa Allbritton; two brothers, Eugene and Harold Allbritton; son in-law, Jim Holden and daughter in-law, Vicki Prince.
