As planning continues for the 32nd Annual Women Aware Conference, committee members learned Thursday that 15 booths, as well as different sponsorships levels, are still available for the Sept. 19 event at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff. The theme for this year’s event is Designed For More.
Keynote speakers are Poplar Bluff native Jennifer Webb, who will kick off the activities in the morning, and the afternoon speaker will be Kechi Okwuchi.
Webb’s programs combine magic, psychology, NLP, emotional intelligence, and other disciplines to reach people instantly with messages of inspiration and content. Her most popular programs are designed to make one’s thoughts go from challenges and frustration to “can do” and “possibilities.”
Okwuchi is a 29-year-old Nigerian-born woman, currently living in Texas. In 2019, she became a finalist on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” through Simon Cowell’s “golden buzzer.” Okwuchi found her true voice after a plane crash that took the lives of 107 of 109 passengers in Nigeria in 2005. She has now chosen to forge ahead on a path that allows her to explore both business and artistic opportunities.
Conference Director Meredith Rines said, the committee is thrilled to have Webb and Okwuchi be a part of this year’s conference.
