QULIN, Mo. — David Richardson age 83, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, June 21, 2019 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Richardson was born Thursday, July 11, 1935 in Lake Cormorant, Miss., son of the late Turner and Letha Richardson.
He had served in the Army. Mr. Richardson worked at Caterpillar in Peoria, Ill. for 32 years and was a volunteer fireman for ten years in Peoria then also for ten years after moving to Qulin. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Creve Couer, Ill., the American Legion Post at Qulin and Fairview Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.
On December 23, 1962 he married Roberta Forrest. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, David Richardson Jr. and wife Connie of Ellsinore, and Dean Richardson and wife Jeanie of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Vernon Richardson of Qulin; grandchildren and stepgrandchildren, Mariah Richardson and little Cooper, Jenna Richardson, Jessica (Joey) Stone, Tabitha (Jason) Gwin, Micah Martin, Trevor (Hannah) Douglas, Austin Douglas, Makayla Martin, Kelsi and Kadence Stone, Zhaya, Klarisa and Jase Gwin, Kinzy Martin, Kayden and Max Douglas.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 23 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Qulin. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Allen Leutert officiating. Burial will be in Carola Cemetery at Qulin.
