Richard L. Burch Sr.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Richard L. Burch Sr., 77, of Doniphan, Mo., died June 15, 2019 at his residence. He was born on March 17, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo.

On March 14, 1964 he married Laveta Burch in St. Louis. She survives.

Mr. Burch was a charter member of Friendly Baptist Church in Oxly, Mo. and a member of the Bluff City Eagles #3730. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, crafts and Bingo.

Survivors include his wife; children, Richard L. Burch Jr. (Hope), Theresa Ann Elliott (Kevin) and Ray Richardson (Jamila); half brother; grandchildren, Timmy Elliott, Tabatha Moore, Grant Moore, Mark Burch, Colin Richardson, Kaydence Taylor, Braeden, Angel and Clarissa Johnson; great-grandchildren, Thomas Moore and Alexis Moore and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Visitation will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. with Ron Fowler officiating.
