G.W. Stitz

FISK, Mo. — G. W. Stitz, age 76, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Monday, June 5, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Stitz was born July 24, 1942 in Paragould, Ark. He had served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He loved farming and fishing.

He is survived by one daughter, Denise Larson of St. Louis; one son, Greg Stitz of Hyattsville, Md.; one grandson, Devin Stitz of St. Louis; three brothers, Floyd Stitz of Dexter, Alvie Stitz of Dudley, and Danny Stitz of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Anna Wilson of Benton, and Carolyn Melson of Fairdealing.

Mr. Stitz was preceded in death by his parents, Lenhart Stitz and Rebecca Stitz; one brother, Leonard Stitz, and one sister, Alice Edwards.

Visitation will be fron 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 9 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 10 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
