An 88-year-old Harviell man was killed in a two-vehicle crash at 8:15 a.m. Monday on U.S. 160, three miles west of Harviell.
According to the report, Edgar W. Holden was operating a 1997 Ford Ranger southbound when it pulled into the path of a 2006 Ford pickup being driven westbound by Jeremiah D. Lovins, 43, of Doniphan.
Holden was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment and later transferred to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was pronounced dead by a doctor at Saint Francis at 10:41 a.m.
Holden is the 18th fatality in Troop E this year.
