City firefighters responded at 2:52 p.m. Monday, May 27, to a report of heavy smoke in the 700 block of Davis Street. It was investigation only.

City firefighters responded at 11:13 a.m. Sunday, May 26, to a motor-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway PP and the Highway 67 bypass.

According to the report, firefighters removed a windshield and helped emergency-medical-services personnel remove an injured person(s).

Firefighters remained on the scene until the vehicles were removed.

City firefighters responded at 1:22 a.m. Sunday, May 26, to a motor-vehicle crash in the front yard at 1719 Big Ben Road.

City firefighters responded at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25, to a report of dumpster fire at the intersection of 10th and Pine streets.

According to the report, firefighters found a dumpster and wooden enclosure around the dumpster fully involved in flames behind Letassy Pharmacy, 1014 W. Pine St. Firefighters used 250 gallons of water to put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 11:48 a.m. Saturday, May 25, to a report of a carbon monoxide detector sounding at the 2802 Karmen Lane residence owned by Vearon Dunn.

According to the report, Dunn told firefighters the battery was being changed when the detector went off.

Firefighters also helped change the battery in a smoke detector.
