County firefighters responded at 10 p.m. Thursday, May 16, to a grass fire at 1885 Ravenwood Lane.

According to the report, the fire was from trespassers having a bonfire. The scene was turned over to the Butler County Sheriff’s Department.

County firefighters responded at 10:35 p.m. Thursday, May 16, to a mobile home fire at County Road 276 and County Road 279.

According to the report, the mobile home was an abandoned property and a total loss.

City firefighters responded at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, May 16, to a smoke detector activation at 4342 Kanell Boulevard.

According to the report, firefighters were initially dispatched to a fire alarm at 2971 Kanell Boulevard and asked dispatch to check the address because it could not be found.

Dispatch advised it was false alarm and no fire. An officer called and said he believed the business moved out by Green Forest.

Firefighters went to Green Forest and found the business at 4348 PP Highway and made contact with the occupant and advised changing the address with the alarm company.
