ELLSINORE, Mo. — Lena L. Pulliam, 89, of Grandin, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Seward, Ill. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 12 at First General Baptist Church of Ellsinore from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. with burial immediately following at Carson Hill Cemetery of Ellsinore

ELLSINORE, Mo. — Lena L. Pulliam, 89, of Grandin, Mo., died Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Seward, Ill.

She was born on February 20, 1930 in Ellsinore, to Elvie & Virgie Boyer. She loved her parents dearly and loved living in the country hills of Missouri where she was born and raised. She also loved going to church, quilting and had a passion for stamp & coin collecting. Her heart was always with her ten children, 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and her two great-great-grandchildren.

Lena is survived by her children, Gloria Rice, Willie (Roxanne) Champion, Bob (Loretta) Champion, David (Becky) Champion, Bonnie (Rick) DeLacy, Leon Champion, Cathy (Bruce) McCord, Debbie (Adam) Berndt and John (Becky) Foster. Other survivors are her sisters, Jean (Homer) Giles, Charlotte (Jack) Capps and a brother Richard Boyer. She is predeceased by her father and mother, Elvie & Virgie Boyer, sister, Virginia (Don) Meadows, son, William Champion, granddaughter Rickie Sue Champion, grandson Derrick Foster, and her husband of 25 years, Guy Pulliam.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 12 at First General Baptist Church of Ellsinore from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. with burial immediately following at Carson Hill Cemetery of Ellsinore. Everyone is invited back to the church Lena loved so much for food and fellowship.
