A 44-year-old Poplar Bluff man was injured when he allegedly was struck by a vehicle at 12:08 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 60, one mile east of Poplar Bluff.
According to the report, Jimmy R. Moore, 19, of Dudley was operating an eastbound 2011 Dodge pickup when it struck Thomas W. Ray in the passing lane.
Ray suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical center for treatment.
Moore was arrested at 12:29 a.m. Saturday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated causing serious injury. He was booked at the Butler County jail and released.

A 16-year-old Greenville resident was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 8:15 a.m. Friday on Highway C, one-half mile south of Highway 34, in Wayne County.
According to the report, Erin R. Bennett was operating a 2001 Volkswagen Beetle northbound when it ran off the right side of the road and overturned.
Bennett suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.

POPLAR BLUFF FIRE DEPT.
City firefighters responded at 1:36 p.m. Sunday to a report of an unauthorized burn on Mistletoe Lane.
According to the report, firefighters found a small attended fire in an open field on Market Lane, which was adjacent to Mistletoe Lane.
Firefighters contacted the landowner, who reported his property was in the county.

City and county firefighters responded at about 3:20 a.m. Monday to a fire at The Warp Zone, 3067 S. Westwood Blvd., owned by Sheila Kirk.
According to the city fire report, Butler County firefighters already were on the scene when they arrived on the scene of a single-story, commercial building with heavy smoke showing.
County firefighters already had laid one water line and were preparing to entry the building when city firefighters arrived.
Firefighters reportedly laid a second water line and removed the glass and handrails from the front door for ventilation. A positive-pressure ventilation fan was set up.
The fire, according to the county’s report, caused heavy damage to the back room, and the rest of the building had heat and smoke damage.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
