Bobby Gene Rimel

Bobby Gene Rimel, 76, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Rimel, the son of the late Jake and Lucille McDowell Rimel, was born March 7, 1943, in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of Fellowship General Baptist Church, and had retired as a Nuclear Med Tech from an area hospital. Mr. Rimel enjoyed spending time with his family and hunting.

He married Linda Rubottom on Oct. 6, 1964 in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Michael David Rimel of Gilbert Ariz.; a grandson Michael Logan Rimel; a brother, Johnny Mack Rimel of Wilmer, Ala.; and a sister, Betty Harris of Ruston, La.

A brother Charles James Rimel and two sisters Minnie Davis and Phyllis White also preceded him in death.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Rev. Byron Beck and Rev. Johnny Gibson will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
