Michael J. Richardson

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Michael J. Richardson, 46, of Phoenix, Ariz. left this earth on April 16, 2019 at his home in Phoenix.

Michael was born March 27, 1973 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He grew up in the Poplar Bluff area and attended Neelyville and Van Buren schools. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved spending time with his friends and family. He was residing in Arizona at the time of his death.

Michael is survived by his mother, Katherine L. Sulser of Phoenix and stepmother, Cyndi A. Richardson of Naylor, Mo.

Other survivors include three siblings, Aaron Richardson (Heidi), of Stillwater, Okla., Monica Eva Foster (Joshua), of New York City, N.Y., Carl Swanson (Michelle), of Harrison Township, Mich.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

His father, James O. Richardson DVM preceded Michael in death.

The family will receive and visit with relatives and friends beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. May 4 at the First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff. A Celebration of Life will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Catherine Bryant officiating. Services will include a short benedictory and then chances for family and friends to relay stories and memories of Michael. He loved to laugh with his friends. We would enjoy hearing these stories to remember the good times had with Michael. Food will be served for those who would like at the family farm in Naylor following the services.
