Sr. Cecilia Olinger celebrates 60 year jubilee as an Ursuline Sister

An Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph in Maple Mount, Ky., who ministered in Poplar Bluff, is celebrating a jubilee of religious profession this year.

Sister Cecelia Joseph Olinger is celebrating her 60th year as an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph. A native of Glennonville, Mo., Sister Cecelia Joseph taught at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Poplar Bluff from 1978-84. She was pastoral associate for St. George Parish in Van Buren, St. Catherine Siena Parish in Piedmont, and Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Williamsville, 2011-2015. She also taught in Kentucky and New Mexico. She is currently a postmaster, quilter and coordinator of the Guest House and Bethany at the Motherhouse in Maple Mount.
