Eugene Field Elementary in Poplar Bluff has announced its March students of the month.
Alison Bell is in first grade and is the daughter of Greg and Christy Bell. She was nominated by her teacher, Mr. Morgan Jay.
Mr. Jay says Alison consistantly exemplifies the qualities of an exceptional student, always following school and classroom expectations, displaying the “7 habits of opportune moments.” He goes on to say Alison is always upbeat, bringing a positive influence to those around her and showing excellent sportsmanship in work and play.
Alison enjoys Mario video games, YouTube videos, playing with her sister and her Barbies.
When she grows up Alison wants to be a teacher so she can work with Mr. Jay.
Ellie Canniff is in third grade and is the daughter of Jennifer Niblock. She was nominated by her teachers, Mr. Charles Gearhart (Art) and Mrs. April Sandlin.
Mr. Gearhart remarks Ellie has a “splendid eye for details” and says her artwork is done with great care signaling her future is “wide open with possiblities.” He notes the dragons she skillfully draws are ornate. Mr. Gearhart looks forward to seeing how Ellie’s dreams and plans for the future come to fruition.
Ellie wants to go into the wild and help injured or sick animals. She would like to live on a lake so she can care for fish and make sure they are healthy.
Christopher Neift is in second grade and is the son of Christy and Pete Neift. He was nominated by his teacher, Mrs. Cheri Sparkman.
Mrs. Sparkman notes Christopher is a true leader and always looks for ways to help and inspire others. She says he work very hard, always giving his very best. Mrs. Sparkman says he is very kind and respectful to all students and teachers.
Christopher likes to play games with this friends and is always looking for fun things to do. Six Flags is one of his favorite places. He enjoys taking photos for the Photography Team.
Christopher wants to be a YouTuber when he grows up.
Hunter Swasho is in the third grade and is the son of Rusty Swasho. He was nominated by his teacher, Mrs. Donna Tribble.
Mrs. Tribble says Hunter works very hard and is always kind to others. She says he tries to be the best student he can be.
Hunter likes to hang out with his Papa Jerry Swafford, play PS4 and watch his favorite movie, “Pirates of the Caribbean”.
When he grows up, Hunter wants to be a YouTuber and create videos about history.
