The city fire department responded Saturday, March 16, to an unauthorized and unattended trash fire in the backyard of 815 Grant Ave. The firefighters advised the residents of the burning ordinance and the fire was extinguished.

The city fire department was called to a motor vehicle accident at 11:57 p.m. Friday, March 15, at 12:15 Alice St. Upon arrival the firefighters realized there were no injuries. They waited for the wrecker service to arrive before they left.

The city fire department responded at 6.26 p.m. Friday, March 15, to 1118 international St. where a vehicle was on fire in the backyard. Once the fire was extinguished, the firefighters called the Poplar Bluff Police Department and the State Fire Marshal to investigate.
