Lady Raiders fall short in NJCAA National Championship first round

Three Rivers College jumped to an early lead against Jones County in the National Junior College Athletic Association national tournament in Lubbock, Texas this afternoon.

But the Lady Raiders couldn’t sustain the lead and lost 88-84 in the opening round of the national finals.

TRC led 28-18 after the first quarter and still led 46-40 at halftime. But Jones County took control with a 27-14 third quarter.

Hailee Erickson led the Lady Raiders with 29 points and Hannah Thurman added 12.
