FISK, Mo. — Robbie Payne, age 92, of Fisk, passed away peacefully at her home on the farm where she had lived for 45 years on Thursday, February 14, 2019.

Mrs. Payne was born March 25, 1926 in Hamilton, AL, daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Webb. Robbie graduated from Campbell High School in 1946 and enjoyed attending the alumni class reunions.

On June 24, 1949 she married Charles Lee Payne in Auburn Heights, Mich. They were happily married for 62 years. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2011.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for over 30 years. She loved her church family and their sister church families at Ash Hill and Walnut Grove Churches. Robbie enjoyed shopping, crafts, sewing, gardening and socializing with family and friends and bowling. At 92, she was still a cherished member of the Koffee Klan Wednesday morning bowling league. Robbie had a sweet, loving, gentle spirit and was an inspiration to her family and all who knew her. She never allowed aging to slow her down. She had a great attitude, lived independently, and was active right up until she suffered a massive stroke on January 27, 2019.

She is survived by two daughters: Debbie Schuerger (Paul) of Poplar Bluff and Sondra Slusher (Steve) of Fisk; one son: Mike Payne (Cherie) and a very special nephew Randy Payne (Jeanie) of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren: Melissa Woolard (Monte), MyLynn Gargac (Mark), Phillip Garrison II, Stacey Anderson (Doug), Heather Baird (Jason), and Erin Payne (Tiny Johnson); nine great grandchildren: Mark and Gracie Gargac, Nick and Nathan Woolard, Sean, Megan, Natalie and Alyssa Baird, and Holden Payne. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law: Phillip Garrison; a grandchild: Charlee Garrison: a sister: Verla Osborn and eight brothers: Dexter, Chester, Gaston, Braxton, Kenneth, Foy, Bennie and an infant.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 17 at White-Sanders Funeral Home, Fisk. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley, Mo.
