Community orchestra organized

The Poplar Bluff Stage Company is organizing a Poplar Bluff Community Orchestra.

The orchestra will give area musicians and directors performance opportunities, provide a venue for musicians to gain experience in making music with a group, develop friendship and collaboration in the music community, provide a positive cultural impact in the community, and expose the musician to a wider variety musical style and composition.

The orchestra is now filling woodwind, brass, string and percussion parts for the Poplar Bluff Stage Company’s summer production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “South Pacific”.
