GREENVILLE, Mo. — Dorse Lee ‘Mick’ Sullivan, age 92, formerly of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Arbors of Gulf Breeze in Gulf Breeze, FL. He was born July 2, 1926 near Greenville, the son of Charles A. Sullivan and Horace (White) Sullivan.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Navy from 1945 to 1946. He was married to Imogene Elledge April 17, 1960 in Puxico and was a long time resident of Poplar Bluff. Mick was a printing press operator for the Greenville Sun, and later for the Daily American Republic until his retirement. He was a past member of the Camp Eight General Baptist Church near Greenville.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Charles and Horace Sullivan, three brothers, Albert, Daniel and Winfred “Jake” Sullivan, and two sisters, Hattie Sullivan and Nancy Jones.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Sullivan, of the home, one son, Charles Sullivan and his wife Andrea, of Overland Park, Kan., one daughter, Christine Tenniswood and her husband David, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., one brother, Arnold Sullivan, of Park Hills, Mo., and one sister, Pat Twidwell, of Piedmont.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held at noon, Sunday at the Morrison-Worley Chapel in Greenville. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Green officiating.
Interment with Military Honors will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
