DONIPHAN — A new warrant was issued Tuesday against one of two suspects charged with nearly a dozen counts of burglary in Ripley and Oregon counties.

The most recent warrant against Kyle King, 30, of Alton, was filed by Ripley County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Matt Michel, according to court documents. Michel asked for a $35,000 bond on two felony charges, second degree burglary and stealing of $750 or more.

No court date has been set in the case, but King and Sandy Edwards, 33, also of Alton, are already being held at the Oregon County Jail on a series of burglary-related charges from that area.

The pair was arrested Feb. 1 following a traffic stop by the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, according to a press release from the Oregon County Sheriff’s Department.

Each is charged with 10 counts of first degree burglary. King has a $100,000 bond from Oregon County, while Edwards is being held on a $75,000 bond.

Dates on the Oregon County incidents range from Oct. 25, 2018 to Feb. 1, 2019.

King’s charges from Ripley County are related to incidents on Feb. 1, according to court documents.

This was the culmination of a joint investigation between the two departments, officials said.
