BROSELEY, Mo. — Wanda Lou Palmer, daughter of the late Andy Ely and Rosie Dale Kester was born October 18, 1942 in Qulin, Mo., and departed this life on February 1, 2019 at her residence with her dogs and niece by her side in Ellsinore, Mo. She had attained the age of seventy-six years, three months and fourteen days.
Wanda had resided in Ellsinore for the last fifteen and a half years and was formerly of Kansas City, Mo. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Wanda spent her time cross-stitching, hunting, fishing with her husband, and being a devoted wife to her wonderful husband.
On August 31, 1961, she was united in marriage to Darrel Palmer in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
She is survived by Cody Dalton and Jase Adkins of Ellsinore, who she thought of as a son and grandson, two brothers; Alvin and Opal Kester of Strafford, Mo. and Ronnie and Sherry Kester of Clarkton, Mo., four sisters; Shirley Murphy of Walnut Ridge, Ark., Stella Anderson of Piggott Ark., Mary Martin of Poplar Bluff and Connie Medcalf of Batesville, Ark.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Darrel Palmer and four brothers; Elmer Harrison, Tony and Freddie Kester and two sisters; Mildred Williamson and Lavern Stoker.
A graveside service will be held in Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, at 11 a.m. on February 5. Rev. Milburn Deaton will be officiating.
