City firefighters responded at 6:35 p.m. Saturday to report of a strange odor at 1804 Seifert Drive occupied by Donna McQuiston.
According to the report, firefighters arrived and met with McQuiston who stated she had noticed the smell earlier in the day and it smelled like rotten eggs. She also stated she did not have gas service, only electric utilities.
Firefighters did not notice any odors resembling a gas smell nor a rotten egg smell. They checked each room for strange odors and did not find anything.
Firefighters suggested McQuiston run water in each drain of the home in case the odor was a dry trap. Firefighters then collected information and cleared the scene.
