FISK, Mo. - Betty Jean James, age 77, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at her residence, in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. James was born March 13, 1941 in Broseley, Mo., daughter of the late Ernest and Virgie Tomes. She was an avid Cardinals baseball fan, and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter: Jana Lindsey of Poplar Bluff,; three sons: Jessie Frank James, Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Ronnie James and Sammy James both of Orange, Calif., an adopted son: Curtis Ferraresi of Qulin, four grandchildren: Ronnie James II, Wyatt James Lindsey, Emma Rose Lindsey and Steven Anderson; two great grandchildren: Massimo James and Reya James, one brother: Leonard Tomes of Poplar Bluff and one sister: Barbara Parson of Broseley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Frank James Sr., one brother: Larry Tomes and five sisters: Patsy Weathers, Geraldine Griffin, Nadine Johnson, Sue Perez, and Brenda Gilmore. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at White-Sanders Funeral Home, Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
