NEELYVILLE, Mo. — Jerry Vaughn Oxley, 65, of Seymour, Missouri passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018 in the Cox Medical Center, South in Springfield, Missouri. He was born July 12, 1953 at Campbell, Missouri to the late Norman Oxley and Dessie Sweeney Oxley.
On Aug. 26, 1976 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri, he was married to Doris Ann Cates. She preceded him in death June 9, 2006.
He is survived by two daughters: Lori McBride and Scott of Seymour and Sherry Belt and Anthony of Marshfield, Missouri; three sisters: Nancy Ray of Warsaw, Missouri, Jay Oxley of Poplar Bluff and Gloria Nash of Grandin, Missouri; two brothers: Larry Oxley and Dickie Oxley, both of Poplar Bluff.
He is also survived by two grandchildren: Jerry McBride and Alicia McBride.
He was a member of the Cedar Gap Baptist Church in Seymour. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and talking with family and friends. He had been a farmer.
Visitation will start at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 in the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home of Neelyville. The funeral will start at 2 p.m. Jan. 3, 2019 in the Chapel at Neelyville. Burial will be in the Kinsey Cemetery following services with Pastor Keith Adamson officiating.
