PIEDMONT -- East Carter's offense erupted for in Tuesday's game at Clearwater. Four different players scored in double figures, led by Cody Hampton with 23 points on three made 3-pointers, as the Redbirds (4-4) improved to .500 with a 94-80 win against the Tigers (2-6).

Dalton Rudd pitched in 17 points, 10 of which came in the firs half, and Lane Chilton added 16 on eight made shots.

The Redbirds held a slight edge entering the fourth quarter. Clearwater's offense was matching East Carter shot for shot through three quarters. Heath Ayers and Taylor Hicks scored 27 and 29, respectively, to lead the charge for the Tigers, but East Carter went off for 32 points in the final frame to pull away for the win. The two teams shot a combined 68 free throws.

East Carter will play its second straight of three games on the road when it faces Arcadia Valley at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Clearwater wrapped up a four-game home stand and will travel for a 7:30 p.m. game on Jan. 3, its first road game in over a month.

Bernie 72, Neelyville 50

Hunter Slavings was nearly unguardable for Bernie (6-1) Tuesday. He knocked down six 3-pointers and scored 21 points as the Mules ran away with a 72-50 win over Neelyville (4-6) to secure its fifth straight win.

Andrew Geohagan and Blake Harty both added 14 points to give the Mules' offense a boost. Bernie led by four points at the half, but a well-rounded third quarter saw the hosts outscore the Tigers 28-15 to take control of the game. Jemaane Williams scored 15 for the Tigers, and Curtis Fowler led the team with 17 on 8 made shots from the floor.

Bernie will face Naylor at home on Dec. 20, its final game before starting the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament. Neelyville will get some time off before facing Naylor on the road Jan. 4.

Campbell 69, Naylor 43

Campbell has now won six of its last seven games after a blowout win over Naylor (2-4) Tuesday. Blake Fowler shouldered the load for the Camels (6-2) with 19 points on five made triples and a pair of free throws, all of which came in a torrid second half that helped his team jump out in front. Jacob Vines added 15 points with four made 3s to boost the production. Campbell's defense did its part, too, limiting Naylor to 24 points in the first half and 19 in the second.

TJ Rosson and Zeke Ward were the catalysts for the bulk of Naylor's offense. Rosson scored 16, and Ward tied the game-high with 19 on eight makes from the field.

Campbell will travel to Holcomb for its next game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Naylor's next game will be against Clarkton at 6 p.m. Jan. 3.
