Betty Jo Ferguson, 89, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Ferguson, the daughter of the late Finis and Marie (Freeman) Rollman, was born Dec. 26, 1928, in Kennett, Mo. She was an owner and operator of Service Printing Company. Mrs. Ferguson previously attended First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She is now a member of Memorial Baptist Church where she was also a Sunday School Teacher She was awarded the Homemaker of the Year in 1971 by the Business and Professional Women's Club and was a past president of the BPW Club. Mrs. Ferguson was President of the Altrusa Club in 1971.
On June 1, 1946 she was married to Terry J. Ferguson in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He preceded her death in Aug. of 2010.
Survivors include two sons; Andrew (Brenda) Ferguson of Poplar Bluff and John (Sandra) Ferguson of Memphis, Tenn.; one grandchild and 4 great- grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother Junior Rollman, and a sister Dorothy Vancil.
The funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Dennis Ward officiating. Burial will take place at noon at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotrellfuneralservice.com
