FISK, Mo. -- James David Tompkins, age 69, of Broseley, Mo., went home to be with Jesus on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center, in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Mr. Tompkins was born Dec. 20, 1948 in Qulin, Mo., son of the late Joe and Mildred Tompkins. He was a retired Master Sgt. from the U.S. Air Force.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. On May 23, 1997, he married Donna Baker. She survives. Also surviving are one brother: Mike Tompkins of Wappapello; one sister: Jackie Stephens of Qulin; two daughters: LaDonna (Jimi) Waggoner of Poplar Bluff and Dinah (Danny) Morgan of Wappapello and five grandchildren: Noah Conner, Daylan Conner, Courtney Waggoner, Macie Snider and Charly Morgan.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018 at White-Sanders Funeral Home, Fisk. Funeral services follow at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jimi Waggoner officiating. Burial will be in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley, Mo.
