Dorothy Mae Key, 89, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 16, 1929 to Clell and Jane (Stroup) Myers in Gravelton, Mo. She graduated from Greenville High School. On Sept. 20, 1952 she married Paul Key in Flat River, Mo. He preceded her in death in 2005.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending her time with her loving family and making her famous chicken and dumplings for her grandkids.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Kay Riggs of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Paula (Curt) Morgret of Columbia, Mo.; four grandchildren, Joshua Riggs of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Megan Long of Harviell, Mo., and Caelan Morgret and Kelsey Morgret, both of Columbia, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Jase, Keygan and Dylan Long; three sisters, Mable Boyd of Farmington, Mo., Eulah Stephens of Fredericktown, Mo., and Norma Lawrence of Manchester, Mo.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lisa Ann Key; two sisters, Deloris Moore and Nina Koerner; and one brother, Willis Myers,
Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018 at Moore Funeral Service in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 11 a.m. in the Moore Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Justin Sponangle officiating. Burial will take place in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
