MALDEN, Mo. -- Betty Ann King, 87 of Malden passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Betty, daughter of Elson and Edna Dunscomb Provance, was born on Sunday, May 24, 1931, in Clarkton, Mo.
She was in the nursing and medical field for over 60 years. She was a member of the Sunnyvale General Baptist Church in Malden.
On July 2, 1949 in Piggott, Ark., she was united in marriage to Bobby Edward King. He preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2012.
Her survivors include three daughters, Nancy Knight (Robert) and Marilynn King, all of Malden, Peggy Nenminger (Kevin) of Warrenton, Mo.; one brother, W.F. (Buck) Provance (Liz) of Malden; three sisters, Barbara Tallarico (Bob) of Grand Junction, Colo., Margaret McFarland (Jerry) of Melbourne, Ark., Gail Bauer of Chelsea, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Linda Kay Hodges of Clarkton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Norman West Bauer.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018 at Landess Funeral Home in Malden, with services beginning at 4 p.m. with Rev. James Hamlett officiating. A graveside service will be a 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2018 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Bloomfield.
