James Paul Pearman, 76, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born March 29, 1942 to Jay and Jeannie (Collier) Pearman in Pine Ridge, S.D. He graduated from Vallejo High School in Vallejo, Calif. James enlisted in United States Air Force and retired with 21 years as a Master Sergeant. After retirement he received an Associate's Degree from Three Rivers College. James retired from the John J. Pershing Medical Center in 2004. On Aug. 25, 1978 he married Shirley VanKirk in Tawas City, Mich.
James is survived by his loving spouse of 40 years, Shirley Pearman of the home; four children, James (Bonita) Pearman of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Jesse Pearman, Jerome Pearman, and Jeani Pearman, all of Spokane, Wash.; three grandchildren, Ross (Wendy) Pearman of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Christopher Pearman, and Ryan (Michael) Borden both of Spokane, Wash.; and six great-grandchildren, Paislie Pearman, Bonnie Borden, Charity DeCuir, Marie Wilson, Kale Pearman, Blake Borden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 at Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery.
