DEXTER, Mo. -- Vicky Lynn Helgemo, 54, of Dexter, Mo., daughter of the late James Earl Rodgers and Shirley Annette (Burnett) Rodgers was born on Aug. 21, 1954, and departed this life at her home in Dexter, Mo. DEXTER, Mo. -- Vicky Lynn Helgemo, 54, of Dexter, Mo., daughter of the late James Earl Rodgers and Shirley Annette (Burnett) Rodgers was born on Aug. 21, 1954, and departed this life at her home in Dexter, Mo. Oct. 16, 2018.

Vicky was united in marriage to Larry Duane Helgemo March 13, 1974 at Tiptonville, Tenn. To this union was born one daughter, Amanda Lynn Helgemo of Dexter.

Vicky was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She dedicated her life as a homemaker to her husband and daughter. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Larry Helgemo of Dexter; one daughter; Amanda Helgemo of Dexter; four sisters and spouses, Darlene and Dickie Bodi of New Madrid, Kathy and Darrell Ritch of Grayridge, Christine and James Collier of Kewanee and Jamie and Eric Curd of Essex; her mother-in-law, Lois Helgemo of Waterford, Mich.; several aunts, uncles, brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Shirley Rodgers of Essex and her father-in-law, Donald Helgemo of Waterford, Mich.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter until service time at 2 p.m. with Bro. Doyle Burnett of Harrison, Ark. and Bro. Darrell Burnett of Risco, Mo. officiating. Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex, with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
