Miss Missouri Katelyn Lewis will be in Poplar Bluff from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, to support Hearts for Rescue at Caring Hearts 2018, a vendor event to raise funds to provide veterinary care, including spaying and neutering, for their rescue dogs.
Caring Hearts 2018 will be held in Hefner Furniture's parking lot.
There are currently 35 plus dogs in Hearts for Rescue's care. Since its founding the rescue has helped more than 530 dogs in crisis.
The event will also feature vendors, crafts, food, local veterinarians' Lightning Talks, SEMO Cosplay Characters, Mr. and Ms. Howloween Dog and Human Costume Contest, Party Animal Dog Costume Contest, Silly Human! Costume Contest, dog training demonstrations and adoptable rescue animals.
Admission is $2 with all proceeds going directly to the care of the dogs.
