Joyce L. Aylor, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. entered the arms of her Lord and Savior Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2018 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff.
Joyce, the daughter of the late Howard and Grace Huff Karnes, was born Sept. 4, 1934 in Greenway, Ark. She was a member of First Christian Church, and was a homemaker. Over the years she worked as a bookkeeper, served as Principal's Secretary at Poplar Bluff High School and worked at Kraft, Miles and Tatum. She also was an astute entrepreneur in many other business adventures. Joyce had a passion for life, riding horses, traveling, socializing with friends and being involved and available for everyone that needed her. She was a devoted and loving wife of 46 years and a caring and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Joyce will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
In February of 1972, Joyce married the love of her life Elwood L. "Bud" Aylor in Poplar Bluff. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Steven E. (Carolyn) Aylor of Longview, Texas and James "Jim" H. Aylor of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Christopher, David, Bryan and Dillon and two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Landon.
A great-granddaughter Eleanor Aylor preceded Joyce in death.
The visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral Service will follow at noon with Dr. Ron Black officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
