FISK, Mo.-- Sherlene Trout, 77, of Broseley, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018 at her daughter's residence at Fisk, Mo.
Mrs. Trout was born March 3, 1941 in the Webb community, daughter of the late Elbert Davis and Lassie Dement. She was a homemaker. She attended the former Full Gospel Church at Broseley.
She enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to Gospel music, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
On March 31, 1956 she married Johnny Nelson Trout. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2011.
She is survived by one daughter: Sharron King and husband Dennis of Fisk; one grandson: Daniel King and wife Hannah of Puxico, Mo.; six sisters: Arlene Holloway, Sondra Tompkins, Wanda Johnson, Phyllis Decker-Davis, all of Poplar Bluff, Emma Gerlitz of Edwardsville, Ill, Irene Moore of Qulin; and one brother: Harvey Davis of Poplar Bluff, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter: Vickie McGowen and two grandchildren: Justin and Jeremy McGowen; two sisters: Mary Lucas and Barbara Stephens; and one brother, Billy Joe Davis.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Hancock and Rev. Jared Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery at Fisk.
